Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Plant Unit 6 Halts Power Generation Due to Leak Alarm

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has halted power generation and transmission at Unit 6 of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant in Niigata Prefecture after an alarm indicated a slight electricity leak. TEPCO stated that the reactor itself is operating normally with no safety issues and is investigating the cause.
