Hayabusa2 discovers five types of nucleobases on asteroid sample
A research group including JAMSTEC announced that five types of nucleobases, the building blocks of DNA and RNA, were found in samples collected by Japan's Hayabusa2 probe from an asteroid, indicating the widespread existence of life-forming substances in the solar system.
