Kospi tops new intraday high as tensions ease

South Korea’s benchmark Kospi rose to a fresh intraday high Tuesday, surpassing the previous record it set just before the outbreak of the Iran war, as easing geopolitical tensions lifted risk sentiment. The index kicked off the session above the 6,300 mark at 6,302.54, up 1.34 percent from the previous day.
