New Historical Documents May Settle Birthplace Dispute of Swordsman Chiba Shusaku

New historical documents have been discovered that suggest Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, is the birthplace of Chiba Shusaku, the founder of the Hokushin Itto-ryu sword style. This discovery is expected to put an end to a long-standing dispute with other locations, such as Rikuzentakata City in Iwate Prefecture.
