Airbus nie ukrywa, że po wygranym przetargu na A220 dla LOT-u, ma większe ambicje na polskim rynku. Chodzi zwłaszcza o dostawy dla wojska. Pomoże w tym program SAFE i to nawet w hipotetycznej sytuacji, gdyby Polska do niego nie przystąpiła.
