Heavy Vehicle Restrictions Imposed on Icelandic Roads Due to Weather Damage
The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration has imposed heavy vehicle restrictions on twelve roads in West Iceland and the Westfjords, where severe weather has caused significant damage to road surfaces, reducing the permissible axle load to ten tons on most affected routes.
