Five from Somali family killed in Vantaa fire – police suspect arson

A fire tore through a block of flats in Vantaa early on Tuesday, killing five members of the same family and leaving a newborn in hospital. Police suspect arson and are investigating five counts of murder and aggravated arson. Emergency services received the alarm at 5.41am for a building fire on Pähkinärinteentie in the Pähkinärinne district of west Vantaa. By morning, crews had extinguished the blaze.
