Ryuo Tournament Game Record Unauthorized Distribution YouTuber Ordered to Pay Damages Tokyo High Court

In a lawsuit filed by the Yomiuri Shimbun and others, who organized the "Ryuo Tournament," the highest of the eight major shogi titles, against a YouTuber for unauthorized distribution of videos using the game records, the Tokyo High Court, in its second ruling, pointed out the maliciousness of the unauthorized distribution, but reduced the damages to 3.25 million yen, ordering the YouTuber to pay it to the Yomiuri Shimbun.
