Deadly Earthquakes Strike Venezuela, Raising Fears of High Casualties
Two powerful earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude, struck Venezuela within seconds, causing widespread panic and significant damage. Initial reports indicate at least 32 fatalities and around 700 injuries, with fears of a higher death toll as buildings, including parts of the airport, have collapsed. The Venezuelan authorities are concerned about an extensive disaster, and approximately 25 Danes are believed to be in the country.
