Hyatt Regency Walkway Collapse in Kansas City, 1981
On July 17, 1981, a catastrophic structural failure at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Kansas City, Missouri, led to the collapse of two suspended walkways, killing 114 people and injuring over 200 others. The incident remains one of the deadliest structural failures in U.S. history.
