Indian professor beaten with slippers after proposing to student he was banned from seeing

An assistant professor at a medical college near Bengaluru was chased across campus and beaten with slippers by students after he used a classroom microphone to propose to a 19-year-old student, despite being banned from the premises earlier that day over harassment complaints.
