Meloni Proposes Extending EU Fiscal Escape Clause to Energy Spending
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has urged Ursula von der Leyen to temporarily extend the "National escape clause," currently applicable to defense spending, to also cover extraordinary investments and measures needed for energy.
