Île de Ré Bridge Toll Booths to Become Automated, No More Agents
Starting Monday, the toll booths on the Île de Ré bridge will no longer have agents in cabins. Since its opening in 1988, the bridge's annual traffic has more than doubled, from 1.5 million users in 1989 to 3.4 million currently.
