City gets static allocation in budget despite expanded city region

The 2026-27 budget shows minimal change in allocations after the tri-corporation area was renamed as Core Urban Region, with most GHMC figures retained, major funds going to infrastructure projects, and reduced allocations for disaster response, MMTS and heritage authority works.
