Germany Marks 15th Anniversary of Nuclear Phase-Out Decision
Fifteen years ago, on May 30, 2011, then-Chancellor Angela Merkel announced Germany's decision to exit nuclear energy, leading to the shutdown of 17 reactors. The decommissioning process is expected to last until at least 2045.
