Czech Communist Party Defies Ban on Communism Promotion, Vows No Rhetoric Change

The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) will not change its rhetoric despite the criminalization of communism promotion, with newly elected chairman Roman Roun stating they are proud communists and view the new offense as an attempt to discredit the radical left.

Komunistická strana Čech a Moravy nebude měnit rétoriku kvůli trestnosti propagace komunismu. Nedávno zavedený trestný čin pokládá za snahu diskreditovat radikální levici, řekl v neděli novinářům nově zvolený předseda komunistické strany Roman Roun. Delegáti víkendového sjezdu v neděli dokončili volbu místopředsedů, jejichž počet snížili ze čtyř na dva. Prvním místopředsedou zůstal Petr Šimůnek, místo ve vedení KSČM obhájil také Milan Krajča.
