Post Op Sindoor, Attari loses its charm; footfall almost halves

The Attari-Wagah border ceremony has seen a significant drop in visitor numbers, nearly halving after Operation Sindoor. Changes implemented post-operation, including the removal of the customary handshake and restricted gate openings, have altered the visitor experience. While footfall has improved since the ceremony's resumption, it has not yet returned to pre-operation levels.
