Retired Belgian Diplomat to Stand Trial for 1961 Killing of Congolese Leader Patrice Lumumba
A Brussels court has ruled that 93-year-old retired Belgian diplomat Étienne Davignon must stand trial for his alleged involvement in the 1961 murder of Patrice Lumumba, the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
