DVLA clarifies reports on staff deployment abroad for licensing services
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has moved to clarify what it describes as media reports suggesting that its domestic staff would be posted to foreign embassies to provide driver licensing services. In a statement dated February 26, 2026, the Authority insisted the initiative does not involve posting DVLA officers abroad.
