Investigation Launched into Overharvesting of Pen Shells in Sorsogon Bay
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Bicol is investigating the declining supply of “baloko” (pen shell) in Sorsogon Bay. Concerns are rising that overharvesting may be threatening the sustainability of the species.
