Sea Sawdust Bloom Discolors Vung Tau Seawater in Vietnam
A bloom of 'sea sawdust' cyanobacterium has turned the seawater in Vung Tau, Vietnam, crimson and matcha green, accompanied by a foul smell. Authorities confirmed the tropical microbe was responsible for the unsettling phenomenon observed by beachgoers in early April.
