A bridge in the Molise region of Southern Italy collapsed due to severe weather caused by cyclone Herminio. No casualties were reported as the bridge had been closed to traffic since the previous day.

(ANSA) - MONTENERO DI BISACCIA, APR 2 - A bridge on the 'Adriatica' State Highway 16 over over the Trigno River near Montenero di Bisaccia in Molise collapsed on Thursday after a wave of extreme weather hit central and southern Italy. The highway was closed on Wednesday, when the bridge was put under observation after the river swelled and burst its banks amid torrential rain.
