Explosion reported in parked car

An explosion was reported in a parked car in the Famagusta district village of Liopetri during the early hours of Sunday morning. According to the police, the explosion occurred at around 3am, and caused “extensive damage” to the front of the vehicle. The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
