Fencing worlds: Favaretto beats fellow Italian Errigo to take foil gold

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 27 - Martina Favaretto beat fellow Italian Arianna Errigo 15-7 to take gold in the final of the women's foil at the fencing world championships in Hong Kong on Monday. It is 24-year-old Favaretto's first world title. Errigo, meanwhile, claimed her 24th world championship medal at the age of 38, 17 years after winning her first in Antalya in 2009.
