Seismic Wave from Earth's Core Shifted Japan After 2011 Quake

Scientists have reported that a seismic wave, reflected from Earth's core after the 2011 Japan earthquake, returned to the surface and permanently shifted parts of Japan by several millimeters, a phenomenon recorded for the first time.
