GST eroding financial freedoms of Indian states, says Finance Commission chairman

K.N. Harilal, chairman of the 7th State Finance Commission, stated that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system, where indirect taxes are unilaterally determined by the Union government, is undermining the financial autonomy of Indian states.
