Japanese PM Takaichi Discusses Consumption Tax Reduction with LDP Tax Chief

Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi met with Liberal Democratic Party's Tax System Research Commission Chairman Onodera to discuss adjustments with various parties regarding a proposed consumption tax reduction. This follows a proposal to lower the tax rate on food items to 1% for two years starting next April.
