Indian EPFO Penalized for Decade-Long PF Transfer Delay
The Chandigarh Consumer Commission has penalized the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) with a Rs 50,000 compensation for a decade-long delay in transferring provident fund. The commission dismissed software glitches as an excuse, citing deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
