India’s women’s cricket team has been nominated for the 2026 Laureus World Team of the Year Award after winning their maiden World Cup title. They are the first women’s cricket team to earn this honour, highlighted by a record 339-run chase against Australia. The winners will be announced in Madrid on April 20 by the Laureus World Sports Academy jury.
