A Nato fighter jet shot down a drone over southern Estonia on Tuesday after the aircraft entered Estonian airspace during a wider wave of drone activity near Russia’s northwestern border. Estonian officials said the drone was destroyed shortly after midday by a Romanian F-16 taking part in Nato’s Baltic air policing mission. The aircraft crashed near Kablaküla village in Põltsamaa municipality. The incident marked the first time a drone has been shot down inside Estonian airspace.
