Bally Bagayoko becomes new mayor of Saint-Denis, eyes role in uniting French left

Bally Bagayoko has been elected as the new mayor of Saint-Denis, Paris's largest suburb. He expressed his intention to play a significant role in uniting the left around La France Insoumise leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon for the 2027 French presidential election.
