Oldest Neanderthal Group in Central-Eastern Europe Identified by DNA from Teeth

A new study has identified the oldest Neanderthal group in Central-Eastern Europe through DNA analysis of teeth found in a cave. Notably, three teeth from different sediment layers, belonging to children and an adult, all shared identical mitochondrial DNA.
