Whakaari Volcanic Alert Level Lowered Amidst Warnings of Potential Activity

The alert level for New Zealand's Whakaari (White Island) volcano has been lowered after no further signs of eruption were observed. Scientists, however, caution that sudden and more explosive activity could still occur.
