A second individual, Kasem Noubani, has been arrested and appeared in court on charges of aggravated battery and hate crime in connection with a vicious assault at DePaul University.

Kasem Noubani, 24, appeared in court last week on counts of aggravated battery and two counts of a hate crime. The same charges were filed against the other attacker, who pleaded guilty in 2025.
