Slovenian Parents Fundraise for Child Teo's Gene Therapy After Insurance Rejection

The parents of eight-year-old Teo, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, have raised over one million euros for his gene therapy treatment in the U.S. The Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) has rejected coverage, stating the drug's effect is not sufficiently proven, prompting the family to seek an additional 1.5 million euros.
