Sultan Declares Tuesday as Islamic New Year in Nigeria
The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared Tuesday, June 16, as the first day of Muharram 1448 AH in Nigeria, with Sokoto announcing a public holiday.
