UP teen approaches police to stop partially paralysed father’s 7th marriage

A 17-year-old boy in Azamgarh reported his 55-year-old father to the police after being beaten for opposing his seventh marriage. The father, Amarjeet Maurya, has a history of failed marriages, with previous wives leaving due to his refusal to transfer land. The son intervened to protect their ancestral property from further debt incurred for his father's marital pursuits.
