Maharashtra Freedom of Religion Bill passed by Council amid opposition concerns

The Maharashtra Freedom of Religion Bill has been passed by the Council, despite concerns raised by both opposition and ruling MLCs. This follows earlier reports of the anti-conversion bill being passed with backing from Shiv Sena (UBT) and opposition from Congress-NCP.
