Over 1,000 Dogs in Azores Shelters Highlight Chronic Abandonment
On World Street Animal Day, the Regional Animal Ombudsman in the Azores has highlighted the chronic issue of animal abandonment, with over a thousand dogs currently in shelters across the 19 municipalities, some having been there for up to 12 years, urging for adoption and greater owner responsibility.
