Latvian Theater Awards Remove Director's Nominations Over Moscow Event

Latvian actor Āboliņš criticizes the decision by the 'Spēlmaņu nakts' (Player's Night) theater awards jury to remove director Ādolfs Šapiro's nominations after his participation in an event in Moscow, leading to other nominees withdrawing in protest.

Pēc režisora Ādolfa Šapiro dalības pasākumā Maskavā "Spēlmaņu nakts" žūrijas komisija no teātra balvu nomināciju saraksta svītrojusi režisoru un viņa iestudējumu "Dons Kihots" Jaunajā Rīgas teātrī. Pēc šī lēmuma no savām nominācijām ir atteikušies arī aktieris Gundars Āboliņš un scenogrāfs Mārtiņš Vilkārsis.
