Archaeological Discoveries in Amapá Reveal "Stonehenge of the Amazon" and Rich Indigenous Past

Construction work in Amapá, Brazil, has led to the discovery of nine archaeological sites, including a monument of 127 monoliths dubbed the "Stonehenge of the Amazon," along with Caribbean-influenced ceramics and Portuguese porcelain, indicating a much richer indigenous history than previously thought.
