(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 19 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Thursday that the homicide of French nationalist militant Quentin Deranque, allegedly by hard leftist youths, has "no borders" after French President Emmanuel Macron told Premier Giorgia Meloni to butt out following her condemnation of the killing. "The killing of a young French activist is a serious matter that concerns everyone, an episode that must be condemned without hesitation, all the more because it was in a university setting," Tajani said via X. "A murder that knows no borders, a warning to those who use hatred and violence, to those who insult and profess offensive language. "There have been many Quentins in Italy. Some during the darkest periods of the (Italian) Republic. "Precisely for this reason, condemning episodes like the one in Lyon also serves this purpose: to ensure that we do not return to an ugly past in Italy as well. "Because politics is above all dialogue and confrontation, even with those who do not think like us". (see related). (ANSA). Read article...
