Archaeologists Discover Medieval Fortifications in Opočno, Czech Republic
Archaeologists from the Museum and Gallery of the Eagle Mountains in Rychnov nad Kněžnou have discovered remnants of medieval town fortifications and ceramic shards in Opočno. The findings were made during the reconstruction of a passage from Trčkovo Square to Hradební Street, despite excavations only reaching 60 centimeters below ground.
