Portugal Condemned by European Court for Delay in Pre-Trial Detention Appeal

Portugal has been condemned by the European Court of Human Rights for an 85-day delay in responding to a first appeal against pre-trial detention. The country was ordered to pay 3,250 euros in compensation.
