Japan Minister Acknowledges Nuclear Waste Survey Approval

Japan's Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Akazawa stated that the government takes seriously the de facto approval by the mayor of Ogasawara Village for a literature survey regarding the final disposal site for nuclear waste on Minamitorishima Island. Procedures for the survey's implementation are expected to begin.
