The initial batch of evacuated Ghanaians arrived at Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Wednesday, May 27. South African officials claim that only a small fraction of the repatriated Ghanaians were legally in the country, as authorities condemn the violence and pledge to tackle xenophobic attacks.
