Japan's Fair Trade Commission has launched an investigation into Microsoft, suspecting the tech giant of violating antitrust laws by restricting the use of its software on rival cloud services.

IT大手の「マイクロソフト」が他社のクラウドサービスで自社のソフトウエアの利用を制限していたのは独占禁止法に違反する疑いがあるとして、公正取引委員会は25日、日本法人に立ち入り検査に入りました。関係者によりますと、マイクロソフトは7年前に競合関係にあるクラウドサービスなどを指定し、その後、ソフトウエアの利用を制限するようになったとみられ、公正取引委員会は詳しい経緯について調べるものとみられます。
