Poste Italiane Launches €10.8 Billion Bid for Telecom Italia, Aims for Telecoms Market Dominance

Italy’s state-controlled postal service, Poste Italiane, has launched a public tender offer to acquire Telecom Italia for approximately 10.8 billion euros, proposing a mix of new shares and cash with the ambition to become a key player in the Italian and Brazilian telecoms markets and create the country's largest connected infrastructure platform.
