‘Don’t delay process with vague reasons’: SC raps WB govt for rushing to court daily against SIR

The Supreme Court reprimanded the West Bengal government for repeatedly filing vague complaints to delay the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The court clarified that while the High Court Chief Justice would decide deployment modalities, judicial officers alone would assess voter claims and document validity, urging the state to cooperate for expeditious completion.
