India’s new digital rules tighten the noose on freedom of speech

Journalists, news outlets, satirists and cartoonists are among the spate of citizens targeted by India’s increasingly strict laws on digital censorship. Critics say that a new set of rules will further expand executive power over the internet and signal a growing digital authoritarianism.
